Works on Paper

This exhibition focuses on portraits of the Price Brothers company (1930-1960).

Inaugurated in June 2012, it tells the great adventure of thousands of craftsmen of the pulp and paper empire in the mid-20th century. A jewel in the crown of Canada and Quebec economy at the time, the forest products harvesting and processing not only involved a significant volume of natural resources, but it also relied primarily on a wide range of dedicated and untiring workers. As a recognition for their efforts, the Price Brothers company launched a project to honor its employees through the production and dissemination of pastel portraits by artists Kathleen Shackleton and Francesco Iacurto. Œuvre sur papier (Works on paper) is a sensitive experience that undoubtedly restores shine to the human value in the company.
